Non Toxic Living

About

It wasn’t until I had kids that I became more aware of the toxic load around us.  The air we breathe, the things we eat, the furniture we buy, the things we surround ourselves with everyday whether we can help it or not.

Right after I got married, I happened to see the documentary “Crazy, Sexy, Cancer,” and that stuck with me to this day.  I started buying organic food a little at a time.  Once I became pregnant with my first, I increased the amount of organic food I bought.  The last things I started purchasing organic every week were meat and dairy- which looking back, should have been the first things.

Fast forward to now, my entire family eats only organic.  All body products and cosmetics we use are without harsh chemicals.  I try to eliminate as much plastic as I can- especially in the kitchen or what goes in my kids mouths.    They eat off of stainless steel or glass plates and drink out of stainless steel or glass straw cups.  I use vinegar and water to clean almost everything.  I try to stay away from anything made out of PVC.

I am nowhere near as non toxic as others are, but everyone is on their own journey and has to start somewhere!  I’ve compiled a list of products I’ve switched to so far!
